Bodrum Municipality has implemented a special project for pets. In accordance with the instructions of the mayor of the city, a walking and playground was built. The Mayor of Bodrum, Ahmet Aras, established the Veterinary Directorate to rehabilitate and treat outdoor animals. He also opened the Yalikavak veterinary clinic for the successful conduct of sterilization and chipping operations. There are practically no places in Bodrum where pets can walk without a leash and play freely with owners and other pets.
Veterinarian and trainer services
Veterinarian services will be available at the park on certain days of the week. In addition, dog owners will be provided with training opportunities to interact with their dogs accompanied by a specialist.
Turkey’s first Dost Patiler Park
The municipality of Bodrum is the first in the country to open a similar park for pets.

Bodrum Municipality has produced an informational video to demonstrate the needs of the animals. Since opening, the park has already become a part of city life and became very popular.
