From the October 1st Turkish citizens will be able to visit St. Petersburg with an electronic visa. This reported by Turkish media with reference to the Russian Embassy in Ankara.
According to a statement on the embassy’s website, free e-visas introduced to visit St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
The statement said that an electronic visa will issued to a Turkish citizen on the basis of a decision of the Russian Foreign Ministry on an application that he will fill out on the ministry’s website no later than four days before the date of entry. No other documents required for obtaining an electronic visa. The term of such a visa is up to 30 calendar days with a permitted period of stay in the country of no more than eight days. A consular fee for issuing electronic visas will not charged. They will valid within the borders of the Russian Federation located in the specified region.
From October 1st, 2019, citizens of foreign countries, including the Republic of Turkey, can register on the specialized website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru. It can also be done for a trip to Kaliningrad and the free port of Vladivostok.
