Toll roads in Turkey stay to be a common thing and their number only increases every year. By the way, notice that in Istanbul you also have to pay for crossing bridges.
Going on vacation by car, many travelers overlook the fact that there are toll roads. At the moment there are 15 toll roads in Turkey, mainly they connect the major cities of the country.

The payment system allows you to pay for travel within 15 days after the trip. Passing through a checkpoint on a particular section of the toll road, you will receive a receipt indicating the time, date and QR code. In order for the information to enter the system, it takes about 3 days, then it will be enough to scan code and pay. If you have several checks, you can scan only one and during the payment process put a tick in front of the rest.
In accordance with the rules, payment must be accepted at the branches of Ziraat and QNB Finansbank, as well as at post offices (PTT). But often happens that your information simply not in the system and, alas, you couldn’t pay. In this case, you should try to go to the website of the Turkish Roads and, after filling all the necessary fields, pay yourself.
If you plan to stay in Turkey for a long time and drive on toll roads, it is better to get an HGS sticker (RFID tag). You can buy this sticker at any post office.
