The oldest Mosque in Bodrum – Kizilhisarli Mustafa Pasha Mosque
Kizilhisarli Mustafa Pasha Mosque (Kızılhisarlı Mustafa Paşa Mosque) stands in Iskele Square, just opposite Bodrum Castle. It was built in 1720, it’s also known as the Old Mosque (Eski Cami). And if you’re going anywhere near the Castle or Liman, chances are you’ll walk right past it.
Here’s a List of Visitor Guidelines which posted at the entrance to the Mosque as a reminder:
- Remove shoes and place them in one of the shelves or into the bag;
- Ladies should wear a headscarf and long skirt;
- Men should be in long trousers;
- Speak quiet in the Mosque;
- Photographs should not taken during Prayers;
- If Prayers in session, wait at the back of the Mosque until they finished;
- Restrict your sightseeing to the area’s designated for visitors;
