Be very wary of these taxi drivers. I was run to my hotel Centro on arriving and the cost was 200 lira.. I decided to give the driver an extra 50 lira. It was dark and gad had Euro’s and Lira in my wallet (big mistake). The notes are the same colour abd I inadvertently gave him 50 Euro’s instead of 50 Lira.. The driver never said anything and drove away. For a 4 Euro fare he took 50 Euro tip. Obviously never to be seen again. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THESE DRIVERS.
